For the period of the fourth trimester, a human baby belongs in the arms or cradled by the caregiver, where they can remain in close physical contact. Babies prefer the comfort and bonding of closer physical contact over the isolation and unnatural movement of a pram. Many babies appear uncomfortable with the feel and positioning of front-type baby carriers. A sling is the most comfortable, practical and versatile method of carrying your baby, and variations have been used in many cultures (including Asian and Oriental, South American) throughout time.
